This role is responsible for generation and analysis of monthly financial compilations for client accounts, along with accounting projects/tasks as needed.   Communication with POC is daily and the ability to form strong client relationships is great.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees department costs data and monthly financial reports and statements. Assists in the development of annual budget, where applicable.
  • Manages fixed assets and develops and monitors depreciations schedules; as well as schedules designed to support financial statements.
  • Ensures accuracy of the balance sheet.  Identifies discrepancies and makes necessary adjustments.
  • Assists in managing cash flow for clients through special cash reporting.
  • Participates in  the development of department objectives and management of staff.
  • Ability to train client administrative staff in use of accounting software.
  • Assists outside accounting firms in preparing tax returns and review or audits of client accounts.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance / Accounting from an accredited university. 
  • CPA
  • Minimum of three years of experience in accounting management, and having at least one year in a healthcare organization a plus
  • Knowledge of advanced financial accounting, analysis and reporting to design, modify and manage an accounting system.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement procedures to compile and allocate cost information to specific accounts.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, spreadsheet and financial systems programs, applications and governmental regulations.
  • Skill in budgeting, preparing financial reports and computer applications.
  • Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with client administrative staff.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving accounting problems.
  • Ability to work creatively with management and department staff to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
