Summary:  Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, the Business Office Representative performs a variety of admitting/administrative tasks, maintains the OR scheduling systems, completes insurance and payment related procedures, and attends to patients on the phone and in person.  Accountable for the accuracy of information obtained through the different roles. Maintains good working relationships with all interdepartmental contacts.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE: 

• High School graduation or equivalent
• One-year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, preferable in an Ambulatory Surgery Center environment
• Knowledge of general healthcare operations.
